Why a Planner’s 100% Rating Matters (opens in a new tab)
Planners don’t hand out 100% for good intentions. They are the first to know when a delivery slips, and the ones rebuilding the schedule when it does. Their rating is about what actually turned up, on the day it was promised, correct.
So when a planner at Creation Technologies gave EPS Global a 100% rating, our team in Indianapolis took it as the more meaningful number.
Fifteen Years of EPS Global in Brazil (opens in a new tab)
Guilherme Avelino, Country Manager for EPS Global Brazil, has marked 15 years with the business. In that time the team has built three facilities in Brazil and moved from a fully manual programming process to more than ten fully automated machines.
Guilherme’s reflection traces how the Brazilian electronics industry has shifted to increasingly complex, connected and high-end devices, through two economic crises, a pandemic and a strong recovery.
What Makes a Supplier Worth Keeping (opens in a new tab)
Recent feedback from one of our customers said nothing about machines, pocket tolerances or feeder compatibility. Instead, it described the part of the job that never shows up on a datasheet: answering the phone, closing the loop, and telling customers where their parts are before they have to ask.
The follow-up is what makes a supplier worth keeping, and it is something the EPS Global team works hard to get right on every IC programming and tape and reel order.
Design Your Own Carrier Tape with the New 3D Visualizer
Specifying a custom carrier tape usually takes a few rounds of back and forth before anyone has a drawing to look at. The new EPS Global Carrier Tape 3D Visualizer changes that: set your tape width and pocket dimensions in the browser, and a 3D model plus a 2D drawing build in real time as you type.
An engineer still confirms dimensions, tolerances and tooling feasibility before quoting, and because the tape is manufactured in-house alongside the taping line, the design you validate becomes the reel you receive.
